Wesley Traditions

Wrangler Traditions

Back to School Splash: Celebrate the end of Summer and the beginning of a new school year at the two pools on the Wesley Academy campus. All students and their families are invited to enjoy fellowship and fun as they snack, swim, and get to know other Wesley families.

Grandparents & Special Friends Day: The extended family is an important part of a child’s education, so this is a special day to celebrate family! Grandparents and special friends enjoy a continental breakfast, participate in an all-school Chapel program, and even visit classrooms to learn more about life at Wesley Academy.

Spirit Week: Wranglers show their school spirit at Wesley and around Houston during these fun, themed Spirit days.

Thanksgiving Feast: Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, families are invited to Wesley to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving feast.

Christmas Program: This is a chance for Wesley students to showcase their music and drama skills as they lead the Wesley Family to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Go Texan Day: The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo provides Wesley Academy with the chance to celebrate the Rodeo with food, family, and fun! Families are invited to join their children at a barbeque lunch to celebrate Go Texan Day.

Ash Wednesday Chapel: Wesley hosts a school day Chapel on Ash Wednesday as we begin the season of Lent, a time for reflection and fasting to prepare for Jesus’s crucifixion. Elementary and Middle School students and their families participate in this service.

Science Family Fun Night: This special night provides families with the opportunity to investigate Science together through interactive experiments created by Wesley students.

Spring Program: Wesley students welcome Spring with a musical program. Each class (3-year-olds – Middle School) plays a part in the Spring Program.

8th Grade Commencement: We celebrate the completion of a Wesley Academy education as our 8th Grade Class is honored at its Commencement ceremony.

Splash Day: To celebrate the last day of school, students swim and splash in the pools on the Wesley Academy campus.
