SCIENCE - MRS. REYNOLDS
Shoreline Science - Second Grade
The second grade has been busy learning how to clean animals and the ocean after an oil spill. We investigated the effects of oil on bird feathers.

We also tested different methods of cleaning oil spills. We cleaned with squares of nylon, fake fur, feathers, sand, cotton balls, and hay. We decided the hay and feathers helped to get the most oil out of the water.
This week we have studied a model of how the waves erode the beach.

Planets and Moons - Fourth Grade
The fourth grade has been hard at work researching and planning travel brochures for various locations in our solar system. We completed our studies this year with presentations of our travel destinations.

Have a great summer!
